The term “lucid dreaming” was coined by Frederik van Eeden in his 1913 book A Study of Dreams.
A Lucid Dream is when a person dreaming becomes aware that he is dreaming, and is able to influence or control what happens. Lucid dreams have benefits including increasing creativity, problem-solving skills, and providing an opportunity to practice new actions/responses while in a dream state. They can give us a safe way to face our fears and improve confidence.
